New Galaxy S23 update makes it more secure

After the Galaxy S25 and the Galaxy S24, Samsung has now released the December 2025 security patch for the Galaxy S23 series, making the three devices in the lineup more secure.

Currently, Samsung is rolling out the update in its home country, South Korea. The update carries firmware version S918NKSS6EYL1 (via @ya_sking12767).

The December 2025 security patch fixes a total of 57 security issues. You can know more about it here. Samsung may release the update in other regions in the next few days.

To update your Galaxy S23 to the latest firmware, go to Settings > Software update > Download and install. We will soon make it available in our database for you to download.

The Galaxy S23 is currently running on One UI 8.0. Soon, the brand may release One UI 8.5 to it, which offers a wide range of visual changes and new features.
