In the finale episode, the finalists still in contention to win included Aubry Bracco, Tiffany Ervin, Joe Hunter, Rizo Velovic, and Jonathan Young.
Cirie Fields was voted out in the previous episode and became the 9th jury member. As one of the game’s legends, Probst gave Fields a one-of-a-kind honor with the Spirit of Survivor Award, “for inspiring others to discover the fire that burns within.”
Jonathan won the first immunity competition, with Tiffany being voted out. In the second immunity competition, Aubry won, securing her spot in the Final 3. She saved Joe Hunter in the process by sending Rizo Velovic and Jonathan Young to the fire-making challenge.
Host Jeff Probst made a critical mistake by revealing that Rizo had lost the challenge before it played out on TV. Rizo would take the last spot in the jury and would decide the winner of Survivor 50.
