For most people the number 13 is considered unlucky, but Taylor Swift is not at all “most people.”
The superstar’s love of that number is well documented.
“I was born on the 13th. I turned 13 on Friday the 13th. My first album went gold in 13 weeks. My first No. 1 song had a 13-second intro,” Swift told Jay Leno back in 2009. “Every time I’ve won an award I’ve been seated in either the 13th seat, the 13th row, the 13th section or row M, which is the 13th letter. Basically, whenever a 13 comes up in my life, it’s a good thing.”
By the way, there’s SAT type word for for those like Swift who have a fondness for that number: triskaidekaphile.
So it was no shock to the Swifties when she made a historic appearance on her then boyfriend Travice Kelce’s “New Heights” podcast on August 13, 2025.
Historic in part because she was there to talk about her new album, “The Life of a Showgirl” and never before had Swift announced new music publicly with any of the men she was dating.
During that episode we learned that Kelce more than got it as he pointed out that 87 — which is his Kansas City Chiefs jersey number — is his number and 13 is Swift’s. Add them together and you get 100.
“That’s numerology,” Swift said on the podcast.
Kelce’s brother and podcast cohost, former Philadelphia Eagles football player Jason Kelce, even got in on it posting on X “I mean this video being 1.3 million views is the epitome of numerology.”

Fast forward to today when the world can’t stop talking about their wedding celebration.
Lucky us!

Crowds gathered near Madison Square Garden appeared eager for even fleeting glimpses of the celebrity guests attending Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding early Saturday morning.
Dozens standing behind police barricades on both sides of West 31st Street in Manhattan erupted in cheers whenever vehicles believed to be transporting departing guests left MSG. The vehicles also ignited a series of camera flashes from crowds as they whizzed past, as fans appeared to try to capture any activity from what’s been a tightly sealed star-studded event.
Stars who attended Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding celebration were spotted departing Madison Square Garden on foot and in vehicles as the festivities continued well after midnight.
Model Gigi Hadid and actor Bradley Cooper were seen being driven away from MSG early Saturday, as was actress Selena Gomez. Comedian Chris Rock was photographed inside a black SUV, while actor Hugh Grant and his wife Anna Elisabet Eberstein were pictured walking out.
Earlier, director Steven Spielberg and actress Jessica Alba made their respective exits, while stars from the NFL world were also spotted leaving, including seven-time Super Bowl winner Tom Brady and Andy Reid, Kelce’s head coach with the Kansas City Chiefs.
The celebrities were among a parade of stars seen arriving at MSG Friday, including Ethan Hawke, Gwen Stefani, Benson Boone, Jason Sudekis, Jimmy Fallon, JLo, Ed Sheeran, Abby Wambach, Cooper Kupp, Roger Goodell, Joe Buck and Jenny Han.

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce, whose joyous and public courtship played out as a blockbuster rom-com, are married. CNN's Elizabeth Wagmeister has some of the surprise details.

From “Mary’s Song” to “But Daddy I Love Him**,”** Taylor Swift has been singing about marriage for decades.
Those lyrics have now come to life.
Swift and Travis Kelce, who started dating in 2023 and announced their engagement in August, are married, a representative for Swift has announced.

Swifties stood outside MSG for hours amid rising temperatures as black SUVs with tinted windows carrying guests made their way into the curtained off arena. Nothing could be seen inside the iconic venue, but a handful of celebrities like Ethan Hawke, Hugh Grant and Benson Boone could be spotted arriving to the star-studded party.
As the night went on, tired fans suddenly saw pink lights flash: “JUST&T MARRIED,” signs surrounding Madison Square Garden read. Almost too perfectly, a news release confirming the nuptials was sent out as rain started pouring and a sense of calm enveloped the area.
Here’s what we know about the superstar couple’s wedding celebration currently underway at New York’s Madison Square Garden:
- The couple’s longtime friend Adam Sandler officiated the wedding in front of a reported 1,000 guests, and their brothers were the man of honor and best man.
- While it’s unclear exactly how the celebrations look, the couple wore Christian Dior and their shoes were made by Christian Louboutin.
- The reception is underway and expected to last through the early morning hours on Saturday, sources said. The robust guest list includes several of Kelce’s Kansas City Chiefs teammates, sports figures like NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell and pop stars like Gwen Stefani, Fergie, Jennifer Lopez and Benson Boone.
- Legendary singer and Swift’s longtime friend Stevie Nicks is expected to perform with Swift at the celebration, The New York Times reported.
- Rather than resembling the sports and concert venue many people would recognize, MSG has been transformed into a “fairytale garden,” according to Charlotte Triggs, editor-in-chief of People Magazine.
- The Empire State Building will light up blue for “her something blue,” according to a post on social media.

A severe thunderstorm warning has been issued for parts of New York City, and the heavy rain on Friday evening has sent the crowd of fans waiting outside Madison Square Garden home.
After waiting hours in the sweltering heat before the wedding to see the A-list guests arrive, faithful Swifties are finally dispersing after news the couple officially tied the knot.

The couple didn’t have a traditional lineup of bridesmaids or groomsmen and instead opted for Swift’s brother, Austin Swift, to serve as her “Man of Honor,” and Kelce’s brother, Jason Kelce, to stand up as his best man.
Austin Swift, the popstar’s younger brother, has also worked in the music industry.
Jason Kelce, a retired center for the Philadelphia Eagles, co-hosts the podcast “New Heights” with his brother. Travis Kelce was the best man at his brother’s wedding.

Following official confirmation that Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are now married, CNN’s Elizabeth Wagmeister reports from outside the couple’s wedding venue.

To officiate their wedding, Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce pulled in comedian and actor Adam Sandler – a longtime friend who has previously gushed over the pair’s relationship.
The news came in a press release from Swift’s team, sent around the same time as lit up screens began appearing around Madison Square Garden with the declaration “JUST&T MARRIED!”
Sandler said during a 2024 appearance on Kelce’s podcast “New Heights” that his Swift-loving family were in full support of the courtship.
“When you guys first started dating, my God was my family like, ‘Yes! Look how good they are together! He’s a gentleman and she’s having so much fun!’” Sandler said at the time.
Sandler said his daughters grew up listening to Swift – so he became a Swiftie by extension, too.
And last year, Sandler acted alongside Kelce in the sports comedy “Happy Gilmore 2.”

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce, whose joyous and public courtship played out as a blockbuster rom-com, are married, marking a new era for the singer who for two decades ascended to the top of the pop pyramid with her musical musings about girlhood and broken hearts.
A representative for Swift confirmed to CNN that Swift and Kelce were married Friday.
The couple did not have a traditional lineup of bridesmaids or groomsmen, opting rather for Swift’s brother, Austin Swift, to serve as her “Man of Honor,” with Kelce’s brother, Jason Kelce, standing up as his best man.
Actor and friend of the couple Adam Sandler officiated the ceremony, which was held at Madison Square Garden in front of 1,000 guests.
Screens outside of the Garden read “JUST&T MARRIED” in purple.
Swift and Kelce both wore ceremony looks designed by Jonathan Anderson for Christian Dior Haute Couture. Swift and Kelce worked “in close collaboration” with the designer on these looks. They both wore custom Christian Louboutin shoes, and Swift completed her look with Cartier jewelry.
The milestone brings to a climax a romance that’s played out in the public eye, from a missed meet-cute mentioned on a podcast to the Eras Tour stage and a couple of Super Bowls.
The matrimonial union also follows weeks of intense speculation on pinpointing how and where the couple would celebrate what’s become America’s royal wedding, with rumors that Swift and Kelce’s big day might take place anywhere from the singer’s Rhode Island home to Madison Square Garden, which in recent days has been buzzing with preparations and the arrival Friday of the couple’s star-studded guest list.
The couple started dating in 2023. They initially connected after Kelce talked about his disappointment about how he attempted to give a friendship bracelet to Swift at her Kansas City Eras Tour stop but was denied access to the singer at the time, a move Swift later colorfully described the move as “metal as hell.”
